Doji
Open ≈ close: a session-long battle ending in a draw — indecision, meaningful mainly after a strong trend.

Psychology
Buyers and sellers fought to a standstill; whoever was in control just lost it. After a long advance, a doji says the buying pressure that drove the trend failed to make progress for the first time.
Recognition
Body is a tiny fraction of the total range (open and close nearly equal), wicks on both sides. Variants: long-legged (wild ranges, same draw), dragonfly (long lower wick — sellers rejected), gravestone (long upper wick — buyers rejected).
Confirmation
A doji alone is a pause, not a reversal. Require the NEXT candle to confirm: a strong close against the prior trend. Doji + confirmation at a key level is a trade; doji alone is a note in the margin.
Reliability
Among the weaker signals standalone (~50/50 without context). Its value is as an early warning that tightens attention — reliability rises sharply at major S/R after extended trends.
Scanner integration
This exact pattern is the DOJI named condition here — the chart above marks every real occurrence on the symbol's history (hover a dot to verify), and one click opens it in the Scanner or the Backtest panel to test it on any symbol yourself. That last step is the honest part most books skip.
