Morning Star
Three acts: decline, indecision gap-down, then a powerful recovery — dawn after the sell-off.

Psychology
Act 1: sellers press hard (big red bar). Act 2: a small-bodied bar (often gapped down) — the selling stalls at the lows. Act 3: buyers drive a large green bar deep into act 1's body. Fear → doubt → reversal, narrated in three sessions.
Recognition
Big red bar; then a small body (any color, ideally gapping lower); then a green bar closing at least halfway up the first bar's body. Deeper third-bar penetration = stronger.
Confirmation
Largely self-confirming (the third bar IS confirmation); volume expanding on bar 3 is the quality check. Stop under the star's (middle bar's) low.
Reliability
One of the most dependable bottom formations at genuine support after real declines. Its mirror (Evening Star) tops rallies with the same logic inverted.
Scanner integration
This exact pattern is the MORNING_STAR named condition here — the chart above marks every real occurrence on the symbol's history (hover a dot to verify), and one click opens it in the Scanner or the Backtest panel to test it on any symbol yourself. That last step is the honest part most books skip.
